Earnings inequality has increased in many countries in recent years, which has motivated questions of main factors behind this and resulting distributions across high and low-skilled workers. Recent studies have shown that increased earnings inequality is less due to greater inequality within firms (hence across occupations) and more due to inequality between firms. This project seeks to examine the dynamics in earning equality in Denmark, in particular distinguishing between increased inequality due to changes in worker composition and due to earnings differences across high-skilled occupations.
